True Woman 14 Conference

Thursday evening I participated in the True Woman 14 Conference via live stream from Indianapolis. The evening began with prayer led by the conference speakers followed by spoken word by Blair Linne. The first message was from Joni Erickson Tada on the subject of Freedom in our Suffering.  Prior to her message moments were spent between Joni and conference leader Nancy Leigh DeMoss.  Nancy introduced Joni to women who were not familiar with her story.  A video was shown with pictures of Joni as a girl and her growing up years until her diving accident at age 17.  Joni’s message followed and it was straightforward about how pain reveals who we really are. Pain and suffering are not to be avoided but rather should be welcomed because it is allowed by our Sovereign God.   Why should we expect as Christians we will not experience pain and suffering?

A few points made by Joni:

God will use your suffering to remove ANYTHING that separates you from FULL fellowship w/Him.

Suffering is the textbook that teaches you who you really are.

The strongest relationships don't come easy they are earned!

I would rather be in this wheelchair knowing Him, than on my feet without Him.

The remainder of the evening was devoted to another presentation of spoken word by Nancy Leigh DeMoss during which she quoted over 200 scriptures about the life of Jesus.  The presentation was beautiful, with a music, lights and art as accompaniment.  The entire evening was encouraging and challenging!

Amazed by His Wonder  This is the recitation by Blair Linne.

Jesus: What a Wonderful Name!   This recitation about the life of Jesus was given by Nancy Leigh DeMoss at True Woman '14.
